Frequently referred to as the "Dornoch of Ireland," Ballyliffin's Old Course is affectionately recognized as Irish golf's ultimate hidden gem. From the 1st tee, golfers are amazed by how the course twists and turns in every possible direction.

Entry to The Golf Digest Volvo Open is €70 per player and is open to all golfers who wish to participate, even those without an official handicap. 

Only golfers with an official GUI or ILGU handicap can enter the main Category competitions.

The categories include: Handicap 0-12, 13-24 and Ladies 0-36.

All golfers, including those without an official handicap can win prizes on all four Par 3 Nearest the Pin competitions, two Longest Drives competitions, as well as the 15 great Raffles Prizes.

All Category winners on the day go through to the Golf Digest Volvo Grand Final, which will be held later this year in October.

The winner will be crowned the Golf Digest Volvo Champion Golfer 2016 and will also receive the The Golf Digest Volvo Champions Cup - the biggest silver trophy in the history of Irish sport.
